Pampa´s History:
Day
1: SANTA ROSA
Reception and lodging in Villaverde
Farm which owned Felipe Centeno, who was governor at that time and later
it was acquired in 1930 by Juan Fernandez Laurence, father and grandfather
of today´s owners. In
1992 the farm was inaugurated as a touristic center. It is located 10
kilometers away from Santa Rosa and its main productions are farming
and animal management. The main house and event saloon are placed within
a 30 ha. park which has been carefully decorated and wooded.
The main house different rooms are equipped with contemporary furniture,
family relics and ornaments are exhibited. San Marcos Chapel, Santa María
de La Pampa´s sanctuary, the historical fort, the carriages gallery,
the rural museum with the exposition of the first farming machines. |

Day 2: VICTORICA
AND LEUVUCÓ.
Breakfast and departure to Victorica where you will visit
Los Pisanderos Park (military settlement and old place where adobes were
made to build the first houses in La Pampa). It represents the origin of population
in the Province and it is a clear expression of the native culture. In this
park you can also find the figure of the Crucified Christ carved over a big “Caldén” branch.
At noon you will be honored by the residents with a typical barbeque.
Leuvucó is a historical place where “Ranqueles” (Mapuche
tribe) settled and was headed by “Mariano Rosas”.
During the evening we come back to Santa Rosa.
Day 3: TOAY AND ESTANCIA LA HOLANDA
Breakfast and departure to La Holanda Farm, passing by
Toay (Santa Rosa ´s
nearby city, 10 km.). It is connected to a wide avenue where we will visit
a hunting field, “Punta de Riel” belonging to the west train tracks,
where you can appreciate the shifting engine which functioned thanks to only
one man in charge, historical material is shown in this excursion. Olga Orozco´s
museum is placed in the same house where the famous author who amazed Hispanic
and Argentine poetry, was born. Its rooms are equipped with distinguished furniture,
personal items and a prodigious library made up of 4500 books that belonged
to the author. Her house was built at the beginning of the XX century and was
proclaimed Provincial, architectonic inheritance.
We make our way to the Farm, which placed in the middle
of a “Calden” wood,
and where a scrumptious and tasty barbecue will be prepared for us. “La
Holanda” history dates back to 1895 when actual inhabitants great-grandfather,
who was a businessman and Dutch consul living in Buenos Aires obtained these
lands. The classic architecture was built in 1919 and today is still preservated
with some minor modifications. In 1932, his daughter comes to live in this
area for good.
Ortiz Echague Museum, considered as a artistic, national, historical place
is located in the area and exhibits the master piece of this famous, Spanish,
figurative painter. In its rooms you can appreciate the magnificence of the
canvas in which he painted a natural size human figure.
The main house is enclosed by a big park full of native vegetation with the
preponderance of 200 years old trees.
We spend the night in the farm.
Day 4: MACACHIN
AND COLONY MENNONITE
During the morning we have lunch and go to the Mennonite Colony, this is a
visit in which time stops running. Mennonites come from Holland; they worship
Simons Mennont (1496-1561). They settled in Holland approximately between the
years 1500-1800, after having emigrated from Russia. They are in opposition
to violence and wars and they lead a life in austerity, simplicity, and away
from modernity; they keep on their old Dutch costumes and traditions. Their
sacred book is the bible, do not accomplish their musts as citizens, they speak
German and very little Spanish. They are very hard workers: produce their own
milk, sell their products in their own shop, manufacture their own clothes,
build their own houses, and sell handcraft furniture.
At midday we will have lunch at a Guatrache´s restaurant,
then we will make a guided tour around the city and we will return to Macachin
where we will be lodged.
Day 5: Parque Luro´s Natural, Provincial
Reservation
We have breakfast and depart to Parque Luro´s Reservation. This place
is the flora and fauna paradise and it is the only natural reservation of the
native tree “Calden”. It is the most excellent place to feel, listen
and live nature.
It comprises three guided footpaths that will allow you to be in contact with
the emblematic flora and fauna. You will also visit the castle (National, historic
monument) that Luro built at the beginning of the XX century and that used
to be the biggest hunting field in the world. At midday we will have lunch
at the restaurant.
In the evening, we will return to Santa Rosa where we will spend the night
in a down town hotel.
Day 6: SANTA ROSA
Breakfast, shopping and at midday airport/ bus stop transport. La

Day 2: Lihuel Calel National
Park
Lihuel Calel (“finding the hills
of life”) was named by the
old local natives “Mapuches”.
It embraces 10,000 ha., and the natural wonderful of
La Pampa unfolds its gorgeous hills, valleys, steams, springs and an exceptional
flora and fauna that arouse diverse feelings. Different attractions are
found in this reservation: you can visit the highest hill named Society
Hill (“El Cerro de la
Sociedad”), go through the interpretation paths that will lead you
to the famous stone paintings the Indians made, visit Namuncurá Valley,
or go through Santa Maria Farm´s ruins. Lunch in the country and return
to Santa Rosa

Day 4: Salinas Grandes, Guatrache,
Mennonite Colony
During the morning we have breakfast
and departure to “Salinas Grandes”,
the splendorous salt scenery, visiting the 2 lagoons where salt layers
are formed.
We will have lunch in a down town restaurant and then we will visit Mennonite

farm, at night, we will sightsee the city.
Day 5: Rural Touris
 | It
belonged to Felipe Centeno who was La Pampa´s governor, and
then it was bought by Juan Carlos Lorence in 1930. It is located
10 Km. away from Santa Rosa. The farm deals with farming and rising
cattle activities. The main building and events room are located
within a 30 ha. Park, covered with eucalyptus, cypresses, laurels, “aromos” and “glisinas”.
The different rooms are furnished with stylish and contemporary
furniture; family relics and classy decoration give the place an
air of joy.

Not far away from the main building there are San Marcos

María de La Pampa´s sanctuary, the historical fort, the carriages

Villaverde Farm was inaugurated in 1992 as the first touristic
farm in La Pampa Province. The farm’s services were adapted to provide
the best comfort to the most demanding requirements.
At night we will go out to “Casino Club”, “Teatro Español” or
cinema.
Day 6: Santa Rosa
We have breakfast and take to the airport,
or bus terminal.
